Paulding woman charged with murdering husband | News

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- A Paulding County woman was arrested and charged after authorities found the body of her husband burned in a home they shared.

Authorities responded to a fire at the Caldwell home in late March, where they found the body of 64-year-old Billy Gene Caldwell.

After a search of the area, authorities located Billy Gene's wife, 59-year-old Jeanie Caldwell in the woods near her residence. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab ruled her husband's death a homicide.

Mrs. Caldwell was charged with arson and felony murder in this case. She is currently being held in the Paulding County Detention Center without bond.
