KENNESAW, Ga. -- Friday, Aug. 30 will be designated College Colors Day at Kennesaw State University, the school announced Monday.

This is the seventh year in a row the university has hosted a College Colors Day in Kennesaw and surrounding cities.

KSU President Dan Papp and Athletic Director Vaughn Williams plan to meet on Monday, Aug. 26 to sign the College Colors Day proclamation. They will be joined by the mayors of several nearby towns, including Acworth Mayor Tommy Allegood, Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin, Kennesaw Mayor Mark Mathews and Powder Springs Mayor Patricia Vaughn.

College Colors Day kicks off the university's fall athletic season and gives Owls fans a chance to proudly show off their black and gold.
