Dave Poe’s BBQ is a self-proclaimed “traditional 19th century Pit-Cooked BBQ” restaurant. They offer BBQ by the pound, an array of different home-style sides and BBQ plates for under $15. The restaurant has provided catering to many in the southeast for over thirty years and they have fed everyone from the U.S. Senate to Coca-Cola and the ASO. The restaurant is located at 660 Whitlock Avenue in Marietta.

Bring you hungry bellies to Barbecue Street in Kennesaw and Cartersville for the “best barbecue and fried Catfish in town”. The restaurant offers deals on all-you-can-eat BBQ Pork or Chicken and all-you-can-eat Fried Catfish on Monday and Tuesday for only $8.99. The restaurant offers their barbecue but pulled and chopped. The restaurant is located at 3815 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw.

Order a bowl of famous Brunswick stew at The Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw. The acclaimed BBQ restaurant serves a platter called the “Steve’s Sampler” which includes ribs, brisket, sausage and pork with two sides. The platter boats smoked pork from fresh Boston Butts and fresh hand-trimmed spare ribs. In addition to their fresh BBQ, they’re known for their famous Banana Pudding, a signature item, and Coconut Cake. The restaurant holds a monthly baking class to teach the tricks of the trade. Marietta restaurant, BBQ1, cooks fresh to order, daily. The restaurant specializes in takeout barbecue ribs, shoulders, hog meat and sides. Every menu item is under $15 and the people at BBQ1 promise you’ll get your bang for your buck. The restaurant is known as an award winning pit BBQ restaurant. So if you plan to visit, be sure to get there early because if you don’t you will certainly miss out.
