ATLANTA -- This week, Dinners on a Dime features the best in local pizzerias. Every Tuesday Where U Live chooses four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal for a price that’s economically feasible in today’s economy.

Home of the Carnivore Challenge, Kennesaw pizzeria, Big Pie in the Sky has been serving up some of the best baked goodness money can buy since 2007. The pizzeria is pretty popular among locals and university students in the area. The shop serves calzones and Stromboli but the pizza is the main event. They offer a number of pizzas from the 16” medium up to the 30” XL. The restaurant was popularized by the Food Network for their signature “Carnivore Challenge” pizzs eating competition. The Carnivore Challenge is unique to this pizzeria. During the competition two people eat about 11lbs of Carnivore Pizza in one hour to win $250.

St. Angelo’s is a popular neighborhood pizzeria in Smyra but more importantly it's the home of the Saint. The Saint is the normal pizza decorated with pepperoni, sausage, beef, Canadian Ham, bacon, mushrooms, onions, Roma tomatoes, green peppers, green and black olives and mozzarella cheese. All pies are available in 20”, 18” 14”, 12” and the 17” Family Tray. They also offer a number of signature subs, Panini’s and unique sandwiches called doughboys. The restaurant also offers salads, the signature being the Antipasto salad. The restaurant is located at 4686 South Atlanta Road in Smyrna.

Blue Moon Pizza, opened in 2003 and the basic idea of making their guests feel special in an everyday place. The restaurant offers the normal, basic offerings like classic pizza, Greek pizza, White pizza and more crafty selections like The Meateor, Luna and Thai Chicken. The pizzeria offers full pies, calzones and Stromboli. Blue Moon offers the unique Tale-n-Bake pizza, which they prepare for guests to take home, bake and serve. The pizzeria has two locations, one on Windy Hill and the other in Vinings.

The New York Pizza Exchange is known for its specialty pizza, the PMS pizza. The pizza is pizza with generous portions of pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage and mozzarella. Another pretty popular pizza is The Canarsie Killer, which is a kitchen sink pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage ground beef, ham, Canadian bacon, mushrooms,  green peppers, black olives, onions, tomatoes and mozzarella. The pizza has been named the best pizza in Atlanta Magazine and one of the Top 100 independent pizza restaurants in the US.  Most pizzas are prince under $20 and they all feed about eight people. The restaurant is located at 2810 Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta.
