Corvi was the grandmother of one of the children, and was caring for both children at the time of the incident, which happened at a Paulding County home.
Det. Gorman says Corvi spent 45 minutes on the phone with a man she met on the Internet while the children slipped outside and drowned in the family's backyard pool.
Dallas Police Detective Bill Gorman said Corvi told authorities that she was in the country illegally.
She has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct and is being held in the Paulding County Detention Center awaiting bond.
