Man arrested for exploitation, theft

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- Officers with the US Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force have arrested a Douglasville man for being in possession of more than 40 images and videos of children being sexually abused.

Casey Grogan, 32, was arrested on Wednesday, Mar. 23. He has been charged with 47 counts of sexual exploitation and 15 counts of theft by deception.

Using a search warrant, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Crimes against Children (CAC) unit uncovered the pictures and videos from Grogan's cell phone.

Grogan is also accused of traveling throughout the Southeast and performing fraudulent transactions with Home Depot.

The Atlanta-based home improvement chain was instrumental in helping officers locate Grogan.

CAC detectives are now working with law enforcement in North Carolina to investigate the possibility that Grogan sexually abused a child there.

Anyone who knows of a child who has been in contact with Grogan is asked to call the CAC unit at 770-445-6105.

Grogan is currently being held without bond in the Paulding County Detention Center.
