Man gets 25 years for robbery that netted $224

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A Hiram man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for taking part in a string of crimes in Cobb County.

Paul Enofurialu Odianose, 21, pleaded guilty Wednesday to eight charges, including armed robbery, aggravated assault and firearm possession.

Odianose admitted to robbing a Powder Springs dry cleaning business at gunpoint on Mar. 4, a crime that netted him only $224.

On Mar. 13, he tried to rob a Pizza Hut on New Macland Road, not far from the first crime scene, but did not take any money. A Pizza Hut employee memorized Odianose's license plate number and gave the information to police; the defendant was arrested the next day.

At the time of the crimes, Odianose was on First Offender probation for a 2011 robbery. The probation has since been revoked.

A Cobb County Superior Court judge sentenced Odianose to 40 years -- 25 in prison, 15 on probation. He must serve at least 20 years before becoming eligible for parole.
