Arrest made in connection with officer involved shooting | Crime

DALLAS, Ga. -- An arrest was made in an investigation linked to an officer involved shooting in Paulding County on Wednesday afternoon.

Brenda VanCleve was arrested for Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and Sales of Methamphetamine in connection with a narcotics investigation in October. 

VanCleve's husband, Danny Hammett, was fatally wounded as officers executed a search warrant at VanCleve's Hiram home on December 3. 

VanCleve's son, James Eason was also arrested by Forest Park Police and is being held in the Clayton County jail. 

The shooting is currently under investigation by the Paulding County Police Department.
