Nationwide Envelope relocating to Hiram

HIRAM, Ga. -- Nationwide Envelope Company, a leader in the printing and manufacturing of envelopes, is relocating and expanding its operations to Hiram, Paulding County Economic Development (PCED) announced Thursday.

The company purchased a 72,000-square foot industrial building on Cleburne Parkway and expects to hire 25 associates within its first year of operation.

Nationwide Envelope has been in Atlanta since 1986, but has since outgrown its facility near Fulton Industrial Boulevard and began searching for a larger place to accommodate future growth. The company looked at a number of locations in Metro Atlanta before choosing Hiram.

"In Paulding County, Nationwide Envelope found a location that was ideally suited for our future growth, as well as an economic development organization that embraced our company and worked exceptionally hard to recruit us," said Terry Burke, Nationwide Envelope's president and CEO.

PCED executive director Jamie Gilbert said Nationwide Envelope's relocating is a tremendous win for Paulding County.

"Nationwide Envelope could have chosen to go to anywhere in Metro Atlanta, but they selected Paulding County as their new home because we offer an environment that is good for their long-term business strategy," Gilbert said. "[National Envelope] has been a leader in their industry for over 50 years and is well respected by their customers. The new jobs and investment the project will bring to Hiram is welcome news anytime, but in an economy that continues to struggle, they take on added importance."

In addition to expanding its office, Nationwide Envelope plans to add envelope manufacturing to its Hiram operation.
