PAULDING CO., Ga. -- School is out and those long, lazy summer days are upon us.

While middle school students should spend plenty of time outside, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, the Paulding County School District would still like to remind them to keep their minds sharp over the summer.

The district has provided a list of entertaining and age-appropriate books for children entering grades six, seven and eight. The lists are broken up by the language arts and social studies classes offered in Paulding middle schools.

For a list of required summer reading for each of the district's high schools, visit the Paulding County Schools website.
