ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks have announced that entries are now being accepted for the "Why Bully Free is the Way to Be" Essay Contest.

The contest is part of the NBA's Read to Achieve program, sponsored by Philips.

One grand prize winner will be picked up by a limousine for a ride to school with Hawks center Al Horford, who will visit the student's classroom. The winner will also receive additional prizes, including four tickets to the Hawks' Read to Achieve Night game against the New York Knicks on Sunday, March 6, with a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.

Five runners-up will each receive four tickets to the March 6 game.

The contest is open to all Atlanta-area elementary school students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students are asked to submit a typed, double-spaced, 350-1,000 word essay telling Horford their thoughts about bullying.

Essays should be postmarked no later than Friday, Jan. 21. They will be judged on creativity, grammar, content and overall impression.
